Audition-
After you’ve agreed to the rules, you have to do a little audition. Afterwards you may go onto the Sorting, the final stage before you may start roleplaying. Original characters (Harry, Hermione, etc) may go onto roleplaying after this step.
For this audition I will give you 3 situations. You choose the one you prefer, then type out a post as if you were actually roleplaying. I will then read it and give some feedback. I will also say whether or not I think you can continue.
Situation 1: You’re a first year, and have just entered the Great Hall to be sorted. Describe the sights, smells, and sounds all around you, as well as how your character feels. It must end with he/she sitting on the stool, under the sorting hat, and being “sorted”. (This will not affect how you’ll be sorted later on)
Situation 2: You’re walking along a corridor, when you hear strange sounds coming from seemingly nowhere. You accidentally walk by the source three times, wishing that you could find out where the sounds were coming from, when a door appears. It is the Room of Requirement. Describe whether or not your character opens the door, what is inside, as well as how your character feels.
Situation 3: You’ve accidentally discovered a boggart in a broom closet. Describe what it turns into, how your character reacts, and whether or not your character is able to battle it by his/herself. (He/she may be too afraid, for instance…)

Since I am Professor Lunesta's student charater, I can skip auditioning.
Also, if you create another character, you only have to sort them. Just let me know that that is another one of your characters.

Situation 3:
Allistaire was walking down an empty corridor, wondering where this stupid closet he was supposed to find was. Sometimes, his sister Eva gave horrible directions.
“She might even be playing a trick on me,” he muttered. His sister loved to play tricks on him. Only a year older than him, she had a big sense of superiority but a small sense of navigation. “Ahh…here it is!” Allistaire cheerfully opened the closet door, expecting to see his favorite broom on one of the shelves –Eva had stolen it and told him of its “whereabouts” only after he threatened to hex her- but what he saw was something else, something terrifying...
A pale creature stepped out into the hall. It looked human, as it used to be, but now it was this pale, gaunt and obviously dead being. No life flickered in its milky white eyes, and black, matted hair hung limply around its shallow face. The Inferix took another step, and outstretched its white, cold hand, beckoning him to venture closer.
“No,” he gasped, stumbling backwards. Could it be? Could You-Know-Who finally have infiltrated the castle? These words swum around his head as he tripped, and landed hard on the ground.
What spell could he possibly use against the undead? Out of nowhere, he remembered a warm, sunny day back in Remus Lupin’s class- the day he learned how to defend against a boggart.
“Boggarts transform into whatever the wizard fears most. They normally hide in small places like closets and desk drawers.” He said out loud. It made sense. He had always been deathly afraid of Inferi, ever since his uncle told him stories of what it was like during You-Know-Who’s reign, back when he was little. And the hiding in closets and desks part? Well, he was standing in front of a closet. Standing, he took out his wand and aimed it at the faux Inferix. He just hoped he was right…
“Ridikulous!” He shouted. There was a slight “Poof!” and the Inferix was suddenly wearing a sheet with two eyes cut out of the fabric. Allistaire laughed heartily. His favorite Muggle Halloween costume- it just couldn’t get any more ludicrous than that.
The boggart disappeared in a puff of smoke. Grinning, Allistaire turned his attention back to what was in the closet.
“HEY!!! My broom isn’t in here!” He yelled.
A few feet away, around the corner, a tall Seventh Year giggled to herself, clutching her brother’s broom in her hand.

I didn't want to post this till i get a reply but her it is anyways. I hope you like it. Situation 1: You’re a first year, and have just entered the Great Hall to be sorted. As Mellody walks into the Great Hall on the fist day at Hogwarts the smell of flowers filled the air. Far up above there heads floating in the air were candles and flowers it looked so lovely. Ahead of then a stool with a strange old looking hat on it. What was stranger was the hat had eyes.
The room was silent as the older students all looking at the group of new students, the group she was in. Like the rest of the group she walked looking around at everything. She was happy to be here but also felt very lost. Not knowing what the hat was for or why it looked like it was alive.
Soon names were called to sit on the stool and the hat to be placed on there heads. And one by one they went to the right seat. When Mellody Cordlindr name was called she walked forward scared out of her mind but still finding herself seating down on the stool as the hat quickly come up with Gryffindor.

*Situation#1: Josh walked down the hall way and sat on the sorting hat stool, he felt very awkward and scared as he sat on the stool, the way every body was looking at him. Then he finally spotted Harry Potter and his friends this made him feel a little bit better. He was finally sorted into Gryffindor and walked and sat down at the Gryffindor table
